Devotional Thoughts
John 14:1-6 — Often times this passage is broken up, verses one through five are quoted separately from verse six, “Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.” We don’t often think about this verse in connection with the previous verses. However, the encouragement of verses 1-3 really enhance verse six. Jesus Christ is in Heaven today preparing an eternal home for everyone who believes in His finished work of redemption (death, burial, resurrection). Thomas’ question is one we all ask at some time in our life, where are you Lord? What an encouragement to know the way is clearly marked and accessible to even the most doubting of us all, believe and you shall be saved and be in the presence of your Savior for all eternity!

Our Responsibilities. . .Elections, Government, & Rulers
Today is election day and we are voting in a special election for NY-23 congressional district as well as other local offices. The Lord led me to study this out before the results of the election are known, as it helps us to consider our biblical responsibilities toward whoever holds office. This will be our Wednesday night Bible study at church. I hope and pray this will help every Christian to approach our government (of every level) in a biblical way.
